Reading this site

Reading collects nothing. This site runs no analytics script, sets no advertising cookies, and does not track you across pages. The search box runs in your browser against a list of this site's pages. What you type is not sent to us or anyone else.

What the quote form collects

When you submit a quote request, the form collects: your first and last name, phone number, ZIP code, project type, and any optional notes you add. If you used the calculator first, your entries (square footage, service level, wood type, condition, and the estimate shown) travel with the request so the contractor sees the job you scoped. The form has no email field and we do not collect your email address.

The form also records the exact consent text that was on screen when you submitted, the page you submitted it from, and the time. It records your IP address, your browser's user agent string, and the address of the page you arrived from. Those three are part of the consent record, and they travel to the contractor with the rest of the request.

It also records technical spam signals: a timing field, a hidden field that only automated software fills in. And a Cloudflare Turnstile check that runs before the request is accepted.

Where a request goes

Your request is stored in our database and sent to one independent licensed flooring contractor who works in your ZIP code. So they can contact you about a quote. One request goes to one contractor. We keep our copy as the record of what you agreed to.

Phone contact and consent

The consent shown above the submit button covers contact by phone at the number you provided, by Wood Floor Report and a flooring contractor, including automated calls and prerecorded messages about floor refinishing services. Consent is not a condition of any purchase, and you can opt out at any time by asking to be removed during any call.

Your choices

To withdraw a request, ask what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, email compassleadgroup@gmail.com. We keep a request for as long as we run this site, because it is the record of what you agreed to. Ask us and we delete it.

We do not run an email list. We do not sell or rent reader data to anyone, and we do not sell your request. Passing it to the one contractor you asked for is the service, and that contractor pays us a fee for the introduction, which is described on the about page. We share form details in no other way.

Changes

If this policy changes, the change appears on this page with a new effective date. The policy describes what the site actually does. If the site's behavior changes, this page changes with it.
